Title II of the American with Disabilities Act, 28 CFR35.150(d), requires that Public Entities (such as DelDOT) develop a Transition Plan that identifies physical barriers that limit accessibility to programs, services, and activities offered by the entity as well as, describing the methods that will be used to make modifications and creating a schedule for making the required modifications. Additionally, the Public Entity must provide the public with the contact information for the individual(s) responsible for the Transition Plan.
DelDOT’s Transition Plan was accepted by the Federal Highway Administration (FWHA) in 2015 and has been updated in 2018. The current Transition Plan can be found below along with archived versions.
