TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95/Rt 896 Interchange--Upcoming Lane and Ramp Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that there will be daytime closure of the on ramps to Southbound I-95 from Northbound and Southbound Route 896 for bridge abutment excavation and nighttime closures of the Southbound I-95 off-ramp to Southbound Route 896. Additionally, there will be Northbound I-95 nighttime lane closures for bridge girder erection and nighttime lane closures on Route 896 for barrier painting.
RAMP CLOSURE
· Monday January 29 through Friday February 2: Daytime Ramp Closures, Northbound and Southbound Route 896 to Southbound I-95. (7AM - 5PM). Detours will be posted.
I-95 IMPACTS
· Monday January 29 and Tuesday January 30: Overnight, Multi-lane Closure, Northbound I-95 between the Toll Plaza and the Route 896 Interchange (10PM - 6AM) and Rolling Roadblocks (12AM - 5AM)
· Thursday February 1: Overnight lane closure, Southbound I-95 approaching Route 896 Interchange (7PM - 7AM)
RAMP CLOSURE
· Thursday February 1: Overnight Ramp Closure, Southbound I-95 to Southbound Route 896 (11PM - 6AM). Detour will be posted as seen below.
Route 896 IMPACTS
· Wednesday January 31: Overnight lane closures, Northbound and Southbound Route 896 between Glasgow High School and the I-95 Interchange (10PM to 6AM)
