TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - Paving I-95 at the Route 896 Interchange and Through the Toll Plaza at the State Line

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists starting Monday, October 31st through Thursday, November 10th, crews will be repaving I-95 through the Route 896 interchange, including on and off ramps, and through the toll plaza. All lane closures will be from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Specific closures include:

Monday, October 31st the ramp from NB Route 896 onto NB I-95 will be closed.
Tuesday, November 1st the ramp from SB I-95 onto Rt 896 NB will be closed.
Wednesday, November 2nd the SB High Speed EZ-Pass lanes will be closed.
Thursday, November 3rd the NB High Speed EZ-Pass lanes will be closed.

No work will be done on Friday, November 4th or Saturday, November 5th.

In addition to the closures listed above I-95 travel lanes will be restricted. A single lane closures will be closed at 7:00 pm, two lanes closed at 8:00 pm and up to three lanes closed at 10:00 pm with all lanes reopening by 6:00 am the following morning.

This work is weather permitting. Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays moving through the area.
