Public Comment Session
Potential Future Uses for New Castle DMV Facility
Pleasantville Elementary School
16 Pleasant Place
New Castle
December 3, 2013
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
The New Castle Division of Motor Vehicles facility located at Airport & Churchmans Road will be replaced in the summer of 2014 with a new facility on Route 13 in Delaware City. The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Division of Facilities Management will be taking public comment on potential future uses of the New Castle site in a Public Comment Session on December 3, at Pleasantville Elementary School, between 6pm and 8pm.

Once the Delaware City facility opens the New Castle building will no longer be required by the DMV. Bond Bill language requires this public comment session be held so the views and ideas of the residents in the neighborhoods surrounding the Airport Road Facility can be gathered and provided to the Office of Management & Budget and considered prior to any future plans or commitments being made regarding the facility.

There will be displays and staff available during the session to answer questions and listen to residents.

This location is accessible to persons having disabilities. Any person having special needs or requiring special aid, such as an interpreter for the hearing impaired, is requested to contact DelDOT by phone or mail one week in advance.
