Wilmington Area Planning Council
850 Library Avenue, Suite 100
October 1, 2013
4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is holding a Public Workshop to obtain comments from the general public on potential trail alignments connecting Newark and Wilmington. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the offices of the Wilmington Area Planning Council, 850 Library Avenue in Newark. The public is invited to attend any time between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

As part of the First State Trail and Pathway Initiative, interest in an off-road bicycling and walking connection between Newark and Wilmington has been identified. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to view and provide comments on a variety of alternatives that serve not only Newark and Wilmington, but residential communities and commercial centers in between. Input received during the workshop will assist DelDOT in prioritizing future funding for design and construction of potential trail segments.

This location is accessible to persons having disabilities. Any person having special needs or requiring special aid, such as an interpreter for the hearing impaired, is requested to contact DelDOT by phone or mail one week in advance.
Interested persons are invited to express their views in writing, giving reasons for support of or in opposition to, the proposed project. Comments will be received during the workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT Community Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903. When applicable, we offer the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire online which will automatically get emailed to Community Relations.
