Public Workshop And Unveiling Of Proposed New Indian River Inlet Bridge
Wednesday, Aug. 20 - Delaware Seashore State Park
WHAT: Final public workshop and unveiling of the proposed design for the new bridge to span the Indian River Inlet. The workshop will feature a large model of the proposed new structure as well as displays and information on proposed improvements to the state park, access roads and landscaping.
WHEN & WHERE: 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday August 20, with a special presentation starting at 5:30 pm. The workshop will be held in a large tent in the parking lot of the Seashore State Park, on the south side of the bridge, near the bathhouse.
WHY: Sussex County residents have worked for nine months with the DelDOT/DNREC bridge team to develop a striking design for this proposed new landmark for Delaware.
WHO: DelDOT Secretary Nathan Hayward III, Secretary of State Harriet Smith Windsor, and DNREC Secretary John Hughes along with local participants from the bridge charette sessions and public workshops.
