Working Group

DelDOT established a broadly representative 29 member Georgetown Area Stakeholder Working Group which included local and state government officials, representatives of community, business, tourism, historic, farm and civic groups, other property owners along US 113 and emergency service providers. While meeting seventeen times and contributing throughout the Study process, the most important function of the Working Group was to review alternatives and make recommendations to the Project Team regarding a recommended preferred alternative for the area. The Working Group was charged with providing advice and recommendations, but was not a decision-making group.
