100' north and south of the center of the bridge
The bridge consists of 3 corrugated pipes with sack concrete headwalls. The pipes have significant corrosion and has been selected by the Pontis Bridge Management System for work. The bridge was deemed structurally deficit by DelDOT's Bridge Management Section. Due to the deficiency rating, a project to replace this structure has been initiated.
This project involves complete replacement of the existing structure. The existing pipes will be replaced with a 10'x 5' precast concrete box culvert. Riprap will be placed upstream and downstream of the new structure for scour protection. Also included is 200' of new pavement.
