The project limits are along the Governor Printz Boulevard Extension, from the Manor Avenue through the existing parking areas for the Claymont Train Station.
The project area is one of only two pedestrian accesses to the Claymont Train Station. The currently road has minimal sidewalks or pedestrian facilities and the existing parking area is not well defined.
The project involves extending the existing sidewalk from Manor Avenue to the existing pedestrian overpass of I-495 to the Claymont train station. The existing parking areas will be better defined and additional parking spaces may be provided. Street lighting and drainage will also be addressed as part of the project.
Design is complete. Construction is anticipated to start and finish in 2017.
