Interested persons are encouraged to participate in the development of the state's future transportation program by attending public hearings to be held in late summer. The hearings are jointly sponsored by the Council on Transportation, the Dover Kent Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO), Sussex County, and the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT). For The Abandonment & Vacation of a Portion of County Road 232-A (Creek Road) in New Castle County

WHEREAS, The Delaware Department of Transportation, (DelDOT) has custody and control of Creek Road; and WHEREAS, DNREC-Division of Parks and Recreation has petitioned DelDOT to consider the vacation and abandonment of a portion of County Road 232-A (Creek Road). The area is referenced as follows: beginning at a point approximately 420 +/- linear feet from the intersection of Creek Road and Rockland Road, proceeding in a north-easterly direction, along Easterly side of the property line for Brandywine Park, approximately 720 +/- linear feet to a dead end. WHEREAS, Title 17, Section 1311 of the Delaware Code grants DelDOT the authority to vacate and abandon public roads or parts thereof, ceasing to be of necessity to the general highway system. [More]
