DelDOT's Annual K-12 Drawing Contest!
DelDOT and
The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary cosponsor an annual drawing contest for all Delaware school children. Announcements of the event are sent to schools in February, and the celebration of winners is timed to correspond with Earth Day in April.
All school-age children who reside in Delaware are welcome to submit entries. Drawings must reflect a stormwater quality message. Winning drawings from each age category are published in a 16-month calendar. Art work from the four first place winners are posted on the backs of DART buses throughout the state. Winners also receive other prizes at an awards banquet.
