The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces the sixth round of public workshops for the US 113 North/South Study to update and seek comments from the public on the refinements to the Alternatives Retained for Detailed Study in the Milford Area. Identical information will be presented at each workshop. A brief presentation will be made at 4:15 p.m. and repeated at 5:15 and 6:15 at each workshop.
The refined Alternatives Retained for Detailed Study, including the Brown Alternative, will be presented along with an updated assessment of their effects. The alternatives have been refined to respond to input received from the Milford Area Working Group, comments and input received from the last round of Public Workshops in June 2006, and continued consultation with the State and Federal environmental resource and regulatory agencies. Information received during the workshops and the comment period extending through March 16, 2007 will be used to assist in the selection of a recommended preferred alternative and the preparation of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the project. Members of DelDOT's Project Team will be present to discuss the refined alternatives and answer questions.
Public input will continue to be solicited at key points throughout the remainder of the study. Future workshops will provide updates and results of the detailed study of the retained alternatives, and provide an opportunity to comment on the DEIS. Public input is welcomed and encouraged throughout the study. Information about the study and the Alternatives Retained for Detailed Study can be obtained from the project's website at http://www.deldot.gov/static/projects/us113. |
