TRAFFIC ALERT - Lanes on Route 301 will be closed during installation of overhead signals


Middletown -- To install overhead traffic signals, some lanes on Route 301 at the intersections of Route 301 and Diamond State Boulevard, Merrimac Road and Levels Road will be closed intermittently starting at 9 a.m. Monday, October 26 to approximately 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28.

The contractor, Byers Electrical Construction, will have flaggers on site.

The 301 project, which is expanding the road from two lanes to four lanes between the truck stop south of Middletown to just north of Peterson Road, began July 28, 2008 and is scheduled to be finished November 26, 2010. The overall project cost is $11 million.
