TRAFFIC ALERT - Lane Restrictions on I-95 for I-95 Fifth Lane Project

Wilmington -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces bridge painting, roadway patching, and installing of overhead signs will require lane restrictions along I-95 northbound and southbound for the week of July 7, pending weather. The contractor for this project is Richard E. Pierson Construction Company, Inc.

These improvements will have the following impacts:

* Monday, July 7 through Saturday, July 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Single lane closed on I-95 northbound between I-95/I-295 split and I-95/I-495 split

* Tuesday, July 8 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Double right lane closures on I-95 southbound between Route 141 interchange
and Route 7 interchange

* Thursday, July 10 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
One lane open and three lanes closed on I-95 northbound between Route 7 interchange and Route 141 interchange

* Thursday, July 10 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Double right lane closures on I-95 southbound between Route 141 interchange
and Route 7 interchange


Motorists are advised to allow for extra time when traveling on I-95 and use caution driving through work zones.
