TRAFFIC ALERT - Reconstruction of Levels Road Beginning on Saturday, June 16
Middletown --
The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that on Saturday, June 16, Levels Road will be closed between Route 301 and St. Annes Church Road for reconstruction. Access to local residents will be maintained during the closure.
Levels Road will be re-built with 12-foot travel lanes and 8-foot shoulders between Route 301 and Patriot Drive. The shoulders will provide sufficient space for cyclists to travel. The intersection of Levels Road and Route 301 will be shifted approximately 850 feet to the west, which will eliminate the angle of the existing intersection.
Detour Routes:
* Southbound route: Route 301 south to Strawberry Lane, and back to Levels Road.
* Northbound route: Levels Road to Strawberry Lane onto Route 301 north.
Local access to the Levels Road Business Park (Patriot Drive) will be maintained. Levels Road will be re-opened to all traffic by late August.
