"Give My Dad a Brake" Observing Work Zone Safety Awareness Week

WHAT: Press conferences in observance of National Work Zone Awareness Week, April 3-9, where the men and women who work in the work zones will be featured.
WHEN & WHERE: Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at Rt. 202 and Weldin Road Connector just south of Independence Mall in Wilmington; and at 2 p.m. at DelDOT's Danner Campus in front of the main employee entrance into the administration building on Bay Road in Dover. OF NOTE: Speaking at the events will be DelDOT employees and others sharing their experiences of what it's like to work in the work zones, and the message of safety they want to convey to the public. DelDOT Secretary Nathan Hayward III will also be the featured speaker at the 2 p.m. event.
