In many cases, if you are accessing the internet at work, you are doing so
via a network environment. It is commonplace for companies with many computers to tie them together
with a Network because it is the simplest and most cost effective way
to do it. In many cases, along with networks and Internet connectivity, comes something
called a proxy server. A proxy server forwards requests between a web browser
and the requested website. However, depending on how the proxy server is configured, the settings can inhibit
the display of information in a web browser.
Additionally, most business environments, whether using a proxy server
or not, use a firewall to protect the data stored within their network. Much
like a proxy server, the security settings in a firewall can also inhibit the display of information in a web
browser.
If you have gone through our
checklist and everything appears to be set up properly yet you still cannot
access our live video, chances are there is something within the
proxy server or firewall settings that is prohibiting your browser from receiving the information (the video)
it requested.
In order for us to help solve the problem, we ask that you please provide
us with a name and phone number for someone who handles the Computer
Network or Internet Connectivity for your company. That way, we can work with them on their company-specific
settings in order to make our camera images available to you again. Your name and personal information will
remain confidential.
Please use this feedback form to send us the information. (This
is only to report problems viewing cameras. For other contact
info, please visit the 'Contact Us' link at the top of our web pages.) On the resulting
camera feedback page, please enter your name, proper e-mail address, the name and phone number of your
IT Contact, and description of the problem you have encountered (please be specific and
include camera locations) then press 'Submit'. If you do not enter your proper e-mail
address, we cannot help you because we will not be able to respond to you!
