Route 54 Project Is Substantially Complete! All lanes open on Route 54!
Project Limits:
The project is located on SR 54 in Sussex County. The limits extend from the intersection of SR 20 and SR 54 east to the Mallard Lakes development. Project Need: This area was identified as a high priority by Sussex County Council due to high development growth in the corridor over the last several years. Widening for a center left-turn lane will provide operational improvements and improve the safety of the roadway, both for vehicular traffic as well as bicycles and pedestrians. Project Overview : The project will widen SR 54 to construct a center left-turn lane. The project will also include bike lanes and sidewalks.
