200 feet north and south of bridge

This bridge consists of severely corroded corrugated metal pipe arches (CMPA). The roadway has been closed due to the failure of one of the pipe arches. As such, it is structurally deficient and was selected by the Pontis Bridge Management System for work.

Replace the deteriorated CMPs with a precast concrete frame. Construction will be completed in one stage with a detour. Reconstruct approaches and place guardrail as required. Place a scour countermeasure in the stream to protect the structure.

The design phase was completed on August 31, 2010.

Construction Phase:

Construction began in early January, 2011 and is estimated to take 82 days, weather permitting.
