Laborer A craftsman who performs various general tasks
Carpenter A skilled worker who makes, finishes, and repairs wooden forms
Cement Finisher A skilled worker who performs point and patch, finishing, and curing of concrete
Pile Driver A skilled worker who handles, rigs, and prepares piles for driving
Ironworker A skilled worker who installs, lays out, and ties reinforcing bar
Operator A certified operator of cranes, tower cranes, loaders, forklifts, etc.
Truck Driver A certified operator of vehicles who delivers shipments to the project
Warehouseman An employee who manages delivery and storage of material, equipment, etc.
Administrative Assistant A person who aids the business administrator in their duties
Business Administrator A person who aids an executive by coordinating such office services as the supervision, maintenance, and control of records, budgeting, personnel, etc.
Draftsman An employee who drafts drawings in computer software such as AutoCAD (computer aiding drafting program)
Field Engineer An employee who tracks materials and requests for information, manages Quality Control (QC), assists with layout, etc.
Project Engineer An employee who has all the responsibilities of a field engineer plus: supervises, engineers and plans for construction activities; one who supervises field engineers
Safety Supervisor An employee who manages, coordinates, and plans safety hazard mitigation on the project
Cost Engineer An employee who manages the budget, cost tracking, and forecasting for the project
Superintendent An employee who manages and coordinates construction activities in the field; one who supervises foremen
General Superintendent An employee who plans, manages, and coordinates construction activities; one who supervises superintendents
Construction Manager An employee who has all the responsibilities of a project engineer plus: plans, engineers, and coordinates construction activities, schedule, and budget; one who supervises project engineers
Project Manager An executive manager who oversees all job operations; one who manages general superintendents and construction managers
QC Manager An employee who oversees, plans, and coordinates all quality control operations; one who supervises construction QC manager
Construction QC Manager An employee who plans and coordinates quality control operations in the field; one who supervises construction QC engineers
Lead Construction QC Engineer An employee who engineers and plans all quality control activities; one who supervises lead inspectors
Lead Inspector An employee who performs quality control inspections and supervises inspectors
