DelDOT will work to develop a contract prepared specifically for the demolition of the existing bridge structure. The preparation of this contract will occur simultaneously with the construction of the new bridge and will eventually be advertised and awarded for demolition. The intent of this project will be to remove the entire structure down to the existing stream bed. The schedule for this contract will coincide with the completion and opening of the new bridge structure.
