Delaware was hit with heavy rains throughout the past several days. As of Monday, June 26, approximately 10 inches of rain was recorded in the Seaford area and at least at the height of the flooding almost 100 roadways were affected. By Tuesday, June 27, waters receded and DelDOT crews reduced the closures to less than 10. Damage assessment ranged from high water and cave-ins to complete washouts of roadways and bridge segments.
