Governor Ruth Ann Minner and state, county, municipal and school officials signed a joint Memorandum of Agreement Sept. 27 that binds all to jointly and regionally plan for growth in the Middletown area. Over the next 25 years, 15,322 new households and 11,500 new students are expected within the 190 square miles between the C & D Canal and the border with Kent County. The estimated transportation investment will be $770 million. The goal of the Agreement is to have infrastructure in place in time for development.
