Delaware's Kids Get a Rare Glimpse at the Past

The soil samples from the pit are brought to this location, set up near the actual dig site.  Here, the samples are gently turned out into large sifters where the soil is searched for new artifacts.  These artifacts can be fairly large and very recognizable, or they might be minute - as small as (or smaller than) a marble.
