DelDOT's 85th Anniversary

Smith Bridge 1957
One of only a few Covered Bridges in Delaware Smith Bridge is one of just a few covered bridges in the state.  Since covered bridges are not designed for Delaware's wide waterways and flat land, most were built near the Pennsylvania state line. Smith Bridge was destroyed by arsonists and was rebuilt without its cover but is currently under construction to return it to its original covered state.
