Please review the Guidelines  before applying to the Transportation Enhancements Program.

To apply to the Transportation Enhancements Program, please submit a letter of interest that includes the following information:

• Identify the Sponsor - the government or non-profit organization spearheading the project
• Identify a Primary Contact - the point person for the Sponsor organization, include phone and e-mail contact information
• Identify Co-Sponsors - any group that is helping to contribute technically or financially

• Describe the Reason - the problem, need or desire driving the proposed project
• Describe the Product - what the resulting project includes (infrastructure or documents, etc.
• Describe the Location - the project boundaries (if relevant)
• Describe any Community Interaction - the groups that have helped to identify the need, raised awareness, or worked to resolve the issue

• The project must be related to surface transportation and be for public use
• Largest award is $1 million
• You are not required to have a concept plan or design
• Matching funds can not be other US DOT funds

• Describe Eligibility - identify the eligible activity and why you think it qualifies
• Identify Matching Funds - how funds will be raised or obtained
