New Castle County Courthouse (211 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE 19720)

The old New Castle County Courthouse was the seat of Delaware's colonial government and eventually state government until the year 1777. It would remain as a house of the courts until 1881. The spire on top of the courthouse acted as the center point for the 12-mile radius that created Delaware's northern boundary.
