TRAFFIC ALERT - New Additional Stop Sign Planned at Daisey Road - Gumboro
Gumboro -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that an additional STOP sign and warning signs will be added to the existing four-legged intersection of Daisey Road and Lynch Road/Main Street in Gumboro. The new STOP sign installation is scheduled at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3. Rain Date: Wednesday, December 4.
DelDOT's Traffic Study Section determined that the visibility is blocked for motorists on Main Street northbound to see on-coming traffic from Daisey Road eastbound. Motorists on Daisey Road eastbound, will now be required to STOP, so that traffic on all four approaches can safely proceed through the intersection. A stop line will also be added on the eastbound Daisey Road approach.
Message boards will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the new traffic pattern.
