Public Workshop For Route 72 Intersections Improvements
Dover -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will be holding a public workshop to obtain comments from surrounding businesses and the general public for the capital project along Route 72. The project limits will extend from Route 1 to Willamette Drive and will include work along McCoy Road, Route 71, and several other intersecting roadways. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. at the Kathleen H. Wilbur Elementary School, 3942 Wrangle Hill Road in Bear. The public is invited to attend.
The project is currently proposed to add an additional travel lane in each direction of Route 72 Wrangle Hill Road. This project includes the rehabilitation and reconfiguration of the intersection of Route 71 and Route 72, Route 72 and McCoy Road, and Route 72 and Wilson Boulevard. These modifications are proposed to address capacity issues of Route 72 as well as to address safety concerns. New pedestrian and bicycle facilities will be added the length of the project.
Interested persons are invited to express their views in writing. Comments will be received during the workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT Public Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903, or sent via email to dotpr@state.de.us.
