Dover -- The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is holding a Public Workshop to obtain comments for proposed improvements to State Route 273 from Appleby Road to Airport Road. The workshop will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013, at the DelDOT Bear Office, 250 Bear Christiana Road, Bear. The public is invited to attend any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Attendees will be able to view and discuss the preferred alternative for the proposed improvements along State Route 273, which includes construction of a third westbound through-lane along State Route 273, an additional left turn lane from eastbound State Route 273 onto Airport Road, and adding a southbound left-turn lane from Appleby Road into the Community Plaza Shopping Center. The project will also incorporate pedestrian and bicycle improvements.

Interested persons are invited to express their views in writing, giving reasons for support of or in opposition to the proposed project. Comments will be received during the workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT's Office of Public Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903.
