Dover -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that lane restrictions will occur on Kenton Road between Seven Hickories Road and Denneys Road near Cheswold. These restrictions are necessary for maintenance repairs on these bridges and placement of riprap in the stream to prevent erosion. The contractor will begin work at the Bridge over Fork Branch. After this work is concluded the contractor will work on the Bridge over Cahoon Brook; and lastly, the Bridge over Mudstone Branch.

The work will begin on Monday, January 28 and end mid-May, pending weather conditions. Lane restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists should use caution in this area for shifting of traffic and construction personnel on Kenton Road.

The contractor for these improvements is A-Del Construction Company of Newark, Delaware.
