Bear -- Due to inclement weather, the construction has been rescheduled to the weekend of February 23 and February 24.

WHEN: 5 AM on Saturday, February 23 until 8 PM on Sunday, February 24

WHERE: Rivers End Drive from Providence Drive to Route 7 near Bear

WHAT: DelDOT's contractor, A-Del Construction Company will be reconstructing and paving the intersection. The contractor is doing this work on the weekend to decrease impact of commuter traffic and minimize delays for this project.

Detours:

Southbound: Motorists will continue south and make a right onto Newtown Drive, right on Smalleys Dam Road and return to Rivers End Drive.

Northbound: Motorists will turn left onto Newtown Drive, right on Smalleys Dam Road and return to Rivers End Drive.

Variable message boards will be placed to notify motorists of the upcoming road closure.
