Milford -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that construction will begin on Monday, December 3 for the Route 1 and Route 30 Grade Separated Intersection in Milford. This project will consist of all erosion and sediment control work; embankments, construction of the bridge, ramps, and acceleration/deceleration lanes plus milling and paving.

This project will enhance safety and preserve capacity along the Route 1 corridor.

George & Lynch, Inc. of Dover submitted a bid of $9,222,466.02, the lowest of six bids received. Construction is scheduled for completion within 418 calendar days, pending weather.

During this phase of the project, there are no lane restrictions or closures. Lane restrictions will be announced at a later date.
