Middletown -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that the on-going construction of Road N412A, Hyetts Corner Road to Lorewood Grove Road will require the closure of Lorewood Grove Road between Ratledge Road and Route 13 near Middletown. The closure will begin after the morning rush hour today and end at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 21, pending weather.

Ratledge Road to Boyds Corner Road onto Route 13 and return to Lorewood Grove Road

This $2.7 million project includes construction of a roundabout at the intersection with Hyetts Corner Road, improvements to Road N412A to two 12-foot lanes with 8-foot shoulders, 10-foot multi-use path on the side of the roadway, drainage enhancements, and a roundabout at the intersection with Lorewood Grove Road. Road N412A will also be realigned to create a direct connection between Lorewood Grove Road and Jamison Corner Road. The contractor for these improvements is A-Del Construction Company.

Variable message boards will be in place to notify motorists of the upcoming road closure.
