Wilmington -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces the closure of the ramps from both eastbound and westbound Kirkwood Highway onto northbound Route 141 on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Both ramps will close at 6 a.m with the eastbound ramp expected to reopen around 10 a.m., and the westbound ramp around 2 p.m.

The closure is required to place the top course of hot-mix along the far right lane as part of the completion process of the Route 141 - Kirkwood Highway to Faulkand Road Project.

A detour route will be setup for traffic to follow Kirkwood Highway to Route 100. Motorists will then make a left onto Route 100, and follow Route 100 and turn left onto Faulkland Road, and follow it to Route 141.

The detour route will be posted.
