During a major construction project, an amazing amount of earth must be moved. But before that begins, it is important to make sure that we are not about to destroy what could be an important part of our history.

Why is DelDOT involved? DelDOT frequently must conduct archaeological digs in the areas in which it will be building roads. Some wondrous artifacts have been found in numerous areas throughout the state. But more than that, we have learned quite a bit about how the former residents of Delaware lived.
