To narrow the listing, you may choose a selection from one or more of the search criteria fields which include the following:

Chronological Categories such as Environmental Contexts, Prehistoric Contexts, Paleoindian, etc.

Categories such as Architectural Hisotry, Bridges, Mills, Schools, etc.

Type - choose either Archaeology reports, Historical Preservation reports, or All.

County - select one of the three counties in Delaware (see map) or choose All.

Title - If you know the report title, enter any part of it (including the DelDOT Archaeological Series No.)

This is home to a world of fascinating information unearthed during studies and planning for construction of various roadways and highways throughout Delaware.

Historic preservation is one part of DelDOT's involvment with cooperating with the public and private organizations to beautify and preserve landmarks and other parts of Delaware's cultural heritage, be it bridges or buildings.

Archaelogical excavations are yet another way DelDOT is involved in working with the community to learn more about this heritage. Some amazing discoveries have been made through these excavations, revealing facts of how the early residents of this region lived and interacted.  We have learned much about past societies throughout the region. As more and more projects arise, we hope to continue our learning experience.
