Delaware’s ability to mitigate traffic congestion is increasingly constrained by rising construction costs and decreasing availability of land for roadway expansion. DelDOT continues to invest in transit, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure as alternatives to automobile use. We are also committed to investing in emerging technologies that will transform how we will travel over the coming decades.
